ابدیت
به امیر بال‌افشان [۱]
دگربار پدیدار گشت،
چه؟
ابدیت؛
همان دریای آمیخته با خورشید.
ای روح گماشته
اقرار کن به ترنم
به شب پر ز پوچ
و آتشین‌روز.
خود را برهان
از بند تحسین آدمیان،
از عطش شوق‌های فرومایه‌شان،
و پرواز کن آن‌گونه که می‌خواهی.
[تنها از توست،
ای اخگر تابناک
که تکلیف معنا می‌یابد
بی‌آنکه کسی بگوید: «سرانجام»]
نه امیّدی‌ست آن‌جا،
نه رهاننده‌ای،
دانش است و شکیبایی
[و عذاب] و عقوبت حتمی‌ست.
دگربار پدیدار گشت،
چه؟
ابدیت؛
همان دریای آمیخته با خورشید.
Eternity
It has been found again.
What ? – Eternity.
It is the sea fled away
With the sun.
Sentinel soul,
Let us whisper the confession
Of the night full of nothingness
And the day on fire.
From human approbation,
From common urges
You diverge here
And fly off as you may.
Since from you alone,
Satiny embers,
Duty breathes
Without anyone saying : at last.
Here is no hope,
No orietur.
Knowledge and fortitude,
Torture is certain.
It has been found again.
What ? – Eternity.
